I have no idea what this gizmo does ! Please explain......

Hi Mike, The sleeve goes on you mainline and the wire stem is pushed inside. You can then hold your baited hook and leader tight to your mainline. It should then release as it hits the water. Functioning much like a regular bait clip. Regards TackleUK
