Hi Colin, Yes, they can be silenced and there is a vibration mode. The sensitivity can be adjusted but I'm afraid they don't advise how many settings. The dimensions of the alarms are approximately 6cm high (not including the screw thread) 3.5cm wide and 2cm deep. Hope this helps. Kind regards Tackleuk ''''
