Product Overview

  • A thigh version of the ever popular and reliable chest SFT waders - Ideal for reservoir fishing or where extra warmth is required. The 4mm Neoprene plus micro-fleece lining provides total insulation when standing in cold water for long periods. Adjustable belt straps with quick release buckles. Using 100% CR (Chloroprene Rubber) Neoprene, which is the best quality available, these waders are ultra-soft and highly elastic, but also use a revolutionary new manufacturing technique. Employing the same SFT (Seamless Fusion Technology) we have used on our popular SFT Neoprene Gloves, the seams are first fused together, with state-of-the-art adhesives and then heat taped inside and out. Not only does this give a ‘flat-profile’ seam less likely to chafe, but you retain the full 4mm thickness of Neoprene for complete water resistance for the life of the waders. The innovation doesn’t stop there. The more traditional inner nylon lining has been replaced with a fine, laminated micro-fleece offering additional warmth and comfort, even in the coldest conditions. Another new innovation from Snowbee! Neoprene waders have always been prone to develop seam leaks after a period of time. This is owing to two factors – the grade of Neoprene used and the seam manufacturing technique. Many manufacturers use cheaper grades of Neoprene such as SBR (Styrene Butyl Rubber), a very cheap grade of Neoprene that not only starts life less elastic then premium grades, but quickly loses its elasticity, in as little as 3-6 months. This then transfers all the stresses and strains onto the seams, rather than being absorbed by the elasticity of the material. Traditionally, Neoprene waders are manufactured by buttgluing the seams together, then ‘blind stitching’ the outside for strength, and heat taping the inside. When you think about it, you have a 4mm waterproof layer, which you have then punctured half way through, by the ‘blind-stitching’ technique, which now only leaves you 2mm of material between you and the water! Not the greatest of ideas!

Rubber Boots

  • Our new Bootfoot models are fitted with a quality hand-laminated Rubber Boot, fitted with a steel sole 
  • shank built into the mid-sole. This reduces torsion and protects the foot from sharp stones or piercing injury. 
  • Lined with 4mm Neoprene throughout for total warmth in the coldest conditions.  
  • The top of the boot is fitted with an innovative ‘Roll-up’ rubber sealing strip to ensure the boot join remains 100% waterproof. 
  • Sole Options: Available in either a ‘Commando pattern’ deep tread sole for general use, or our Combination felt-sole / cleated heel for maximum grip in rivers.
