Product Overview

  • Their large array of innovations never fails to amaze. These fantastic new items have a more traditional inner nylon lining has been replaced with a fine, laminated micro-fleece offering additional warmth and comfort, even in the coldest conditions. Their Neoprene range not only uses 100% CR (Chloroprene Rubber) Neoprene, which is the best quality available, being ultra-soft and highly elastic, but also uses a revolutionary new manufacturing technique. Using the same Seamless Fusion Technology we have used on their popular Neoprene Gloves, the seams are first fused together, with state-of-the-art adhesives and then heat taped inside and out. Not only does this give a ‘flat-profile’ seam less likely to chafe, but you retain the full 4mm thickness of Neoprene for complete water resistance for their life.
  • The neoprene have always been prone to develop seam leaks over time. This is owing to two factors – the grade of neoprene used and the seam manufacturing technique. Many manufacturers use cheaper grades of Neoprene such as SBR (Styrene Butyl Rubber), which not only starts life less elastic than premium grades, it loses its elasticity in as little as 3-6 months. Stresses and strains are transferred onto the seams, rather than being absorbed by the elasticity of the material. Traditionally, These Neoprene items are manufactured by butt-gluing the seams together, then ‘blind stitching’ the outside for strength, and heat taping the inside. Your 4mm waterproof layer, is punctured half way through, by the ‘blind-stitching’ technique, and leaves only 2mm of material between you and the water, not ideal!

Feet

  • Unique 3-panel design Neoprene sock – no seams run underneath
  • Shaped design to avoid slack material inside your wading boots
  • Hypalon sole panel prevents compression at the heel area
  • Non-slip panel at back of heel to prevent sock slipping
  • Integral Neoprene gravel guard with front lacing hook.
  • ‘Roll-down’ facility on them. Opposing clips on the braces allow them to be rolled-down to waist level and the braces clipped together to form a belt. Ideal, when shallow wading, or a lot of walking is involved. A simple idea… and another example their excellent innovation.
