The bottom 40cm of the No2 section is reinforced with an extra carbon overwrap making it safer and easier to cut back the female ferrule to fit your particular pole section.
We recommend using a fine tooth junior hacksaw and carefully scoring the blank all the way round first before actually cutting right through. With this method there is much less chance of fracturing or splitting the carbon tube.
A very fine preferably 'O' grade emery cloth can be used to clean up and smooth the cut edge. Even when cut back the extra long reinforced area will still leave you with a strong durable section to hold when playing and landing big fish.

Nominal length 3m. Average weight inc. Winder Bung, Uni Hinge etc 75g- 79g with a 40cm (16'') reinforced section which allows the female ferrule to be cut back to fit a wide range of poles.
These Pre- Elasticated Top 2's have a Polemaster winder bung set deep inside the No2 section. This means you can cut back the reinforced portion without having to alter the position of the bung. An extra long extractor rod is provided in case little or no cutting back is required and the Pre-Elasticated kit comes complete with Polemaster Connector Bead, P.T.F.E Bungee Bush and the Uni-Hinge flexible joint system to protect the elastic.
PLEASE NOTE: The Bungee has been set soft and may need re-tensioning particularly after its first full stretch or big fish.
The long extractor rod has a positive twist lock location system so it is very easy to remove the winder bung from its position deep inside the No2 section. This winder holds a few extra turns of Bungee and small lengths can therefore be let out or wound in to make precise adjustments to the tension of your elastic. It is important not to wind pole elastic or Bungee too tightly onto these lightweight winders otherwise the continuous pressure can cause them to bend and distort.
