Can this rod be used for big striper in the Cape cod canal or spinning for salmon?

Hi Anderson, They're more designed for bait fishing rather than spinning/ lure fishing. Rods aimed at lure fishing also tend to be 7 to 9ft in length. Regards TackleUK
