Q
Can these rods land 6 ft blacktip shark or 200lb skate is played correctly with Penn slammer 8000 size reel? I'm planning to use this rod for land based sharks fishing for medium size fish around 100 to 190lbs shark in florida?

Hi Anderson, There's no maximum weight given, but it's designed for UK beach casting with baits and heavy leads. The sort of species we encounter, there's the potential to land fish from maybe 30-50lb max from shore. Kind regards Tackleuk

Q
What the maximum weight of fish can this rod handle? And what line can the rod be used it can be used for 65 pound braid? Are UK beachcaster are the same as surf spinning rod in America?

A
Hi Anderson, There's no maximum weight given, but its designed for UK beachcasting with baits and heavy leads. The sort of species we encounter, there's the potential to land fish from maybe 30-50lb max from shore. Its not really designed to be held in the hand while your fishing. A rod of this type is normally seated on a tripod while you wait for the tip to bend over. Regards TackleUK
