Questions and Answers

Q
Sorry but this rod doesn't have coasters, it has a sliding screw lock reel seat that incorporates a single coaster for added rigidity made by tronix. I know this because I own two of them and they are designed for both fixed spool and multiplier reels.

Hi Ade, I've double checked the description Tronix give on their website, sure enough it mentions 'Designed for multiplier and fixed spool reels'. As we've got them in stock I've also got one from the warehouse and there a sliding reel seat with a locking single coaster. I'm guessing that whoever originally listed these didn't have the correct info at the time of listing. I'll be updating our website to reflect that.' Regards<br

Q
Why have you stated that this rod is definitely a multiplier rod?, it uses fuji k guides and is rung with spacing for both fixed spool and multiplier reels.

A
Hi Ade, It has coasters that are far better suited to multipliers than fixed spools. If you really want to buy one and struggle with a fixed spool then you are welcome, but we wouldn't advise it. Regards TackleUK

Q
Hello, I am considering buying a tronixpro xenon power rod, I currently use a multiplier but I am switching to fixed spool. Is this rod suitable for fixed spool use or does it just benefit a multiplier?
By Tony Marsh - North East - 22nd Nov 2020
A
Hi Tony, That one is definitely a dedicated multiplier rod. Sometimes you can get away with a fixed spool if the reelseat is a screw type and is positioned differently on the rod. However when your given coasters, and the seat is set that far back. Using a fixed spool would be difficult at best.
