Questions and Answers

Q
How old is this? The date of manufacture should be on the label. It is a concern because of the very high rate of degeneration. It is recommended that it is changed every 6 - 8 months depending on exposure to light and usage. Regards

Hi Dr Sluns, The date of manufacture on the 12lb I've just got off the shelf is given on there as 20-21-02. All our fishing line is stored in a darkened room out of direct sunlight. Regards TackleUK

Hi, Also having checked a number of sources its normally recommended you change a flourocarbon line at least once a year to account for wear and tear but they have a much longer shelf life than mono at around 7-10 years. Regards TackleUK
