Product Overview

  • With its super free bearing supported pinion gear system, the pinion gear is supported by a ball bearing, and when the clutch is disengaged, the pinion gear and spool shaft are kept in precise alignment. The result is a smoother free spool. It was designed to eliminate friction on the spool shaft. In standard bait casters, when the clutch bar is pressed down, the pinion gear is freed and can actually drag on the spool shaft creating friction and limiting the length of the cast, but with this system, it has no such weakness.
  • Known for their reliability. Over the years the body of these has become smaller, while the gearbox has become larger. This new model is left handed and has an incredible gear ratio of 7.2:1 which offers the power and directness of a multiplier with the speed of a fixed spool spinner. With its die cast aluminium body and X-Ship gearing, the new model is set to maintain its reputation as one of their most popular bait casting models.
  • The precision engineered main hypergear transmits more power from the handle to the rotor, which then allows you to feel exactly how much power you are putting into it. Designed to exacting tolerances, it requires less effort but returns more retrieve playing torque with vastly reduced component wear. The S compact body design makes the overall layout look smaller whilst still retaining the spool capacity required for versatile fishing.
  • The hagane body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, while at the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock-solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing and greater efficiency throughout..
  • The bearings are high corrosion resistant A-RB ball bearings with an extra shield for improved protection against sand, salt or dust.
